I have working ANT+ on my backup phone, but it's buggy and keeps erroring on my primary phone - it says it works but it doesn't stay connected to the sensors. Both Moto Potter, both running exactly the same ROM image. Could be

• something "left over" on one or both when I flashed them
• slightly different hardware (XT1865 vs XT1864)
• different baseband version (primary phone is newer)
• actual hardware problem
• something else?

I can't make the backup phone my primary because the camera lens is cracked and the battery is going downhill, guess I have no choice but to debug it

adb backup doesn't. or, if it does, restore won't.

Not the cleanest piece of soldering but I am inordinately pleased that it works at all. ANT+ stick with microusb, of a suitable size and shape to fit in my waterproof phone handlebar holder.

If you ever wondered whats inside a miniature #ant+ usb stick, I took mine apart to see. The IC is stuck to the back of the usb contacts themselves

Now, how best to attach a microusb type b connector to it ...

+1 - evenutally found my usb otg adapter -1 - garmin ant stick is usb1 which is apparently not supported by Android's USB ANT library

NaN - still trying to find ANT software for Linux that I can use to query speed/cadence sensor

Went to look in my random usb sticks collection to see if I had a Bluetooth transceiver that could be hacked into an ANT dongle. Found an ANT dongle

Which is good, because I think that reprogramming a Bluetooth one might be an unrealistic target for my current skill level
